Silvano Dalla Valentina
The project JAZZ&More born in 2011 from an idea by Silvano Dalla Valentina, tourism and event expert, with the collaboration of Fabrizio Gaudino, jazz trumpeter from Caserta. It's born for passion but also to remember a promising veronese young trumpeter named Armando, who has left us a few years ago after having met “the mental illness” in the middle of his life.
From these roots, the intent to create opportunities and synergies for making and listening to good music, with attention to “Young Talents”, “Doing Together” and "Solidarity”.
The first initiative was born into the GRAN CAN Hotel Restaurant and Community in Valpolicella (VR), in collaboration with the hospitality, care and inclusion project for People with mental illness there conducted by AZALEA Social Cooperative. Since then, the project has gradually expanded, finding partnerships and synergies and proposing meetings and events upon request or open to the public.
THE PROGRAM IN VERONA
The most important project in the city is named "A CENA CON I JAZZISTI" (Dinner with Jazz Musicians), conducted in collaboration with Doc Live, Circolo Jazz Verona and the prestigious Due Torri Hotel*****, a reference location in Verona for Tourism, Events and Business.
The idea is that Music, Hospitality and Flavours can be the glue for to promote territory, culture and inclusion, demonstrating that people with mental disability, can play an active role in many occasions.
